Stitching with Sue Spargo
Sue Spargo is an internationally known folk artist who designs original embroidery patterns using wool, thread, beads and other lovely embellishments. She stitches her designs almost entirely by hand. She was born in Zambia, educated in South Africa, then moved to England, and now resides in the United States. The colors and traditional designs of these very different landscapes have been a rich source of inspiration, and grew into her focus on contemporary folk-art. In addition to her books, patterns, and tools for embroidery, Quilters Corner carries her wonderful Eleganza pearl cotton thread. She teaches extensively, and our own Linda, Kristin and Deborah have all enjoyed her workshops.
