GE Designs - Books, Patterns & Rulers

Gudrun Erla started designing quilt patterns in Iceland where she was born and raised. She owned a quilt shop there and had a small line of patterns in Icelandic. A rep from the US encouraged her to translate her patterns into English and publish them in the U.S. These took off quickly, so she moved to the States in 2003 (Minnesota), to pursue a full-time career as a designer. She has always been driven to find faster and easier ways to do things. Gudrun designed a series of rulers for quilting called the Stripology rulers which makes the process of cutting quilt pieces easier, more effective, and more accurate for the user. She has published many books and patterns that use the rulers to make exciting quilts. Gudrun is a Baby Lock Affiliate.
