Quilters Are Generous Givers!
First Project -now through April 30, 2025

As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we want to provide opportunities for quilters and sewists to give back to our community. Ten years ago we helped to launch a charity sewing group who call themselves the Sew Givers. We will be partnering with them on several projects in 2025.

For this first project, we invite you to make placemats of any design (finished size 12” x 18”) and napkins (16” x 16”) to be donated to Food Net (Meals on Wheels). What a great way to use orphan blocks and leftover fabric and batting! You may sew at home, or you can join us during our Open Sew hours: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Noon-4:00pm.  Machines, irons and cutting mats are available for your use during that time. If you are working on this project, we will waive the usual fee of $5. Please call ahead to reserve a space.

The finished items may be dropped off at Quilters Corner by April 30. Our goal is 300. Let’s get busy!

Sue Spargo Day with Kristin
Saturday, April 26, 2025, 10:00am-4:00pm

Kristin has a sweet little project for you to hand stitch. There will be demonstrations, instructions, and homemade treats. Browse our display of finished Sue Spargo projects stitched by various sewists. No need to reserve a time, but please let us know if you plan to join us. Feel free to bring your own work- in-progress and your Sue Spargo inspired projects for show & tell. We would love to see them!

Spring Stroll through the Finger Lakes of New York
May 24-June 7, 2025

A shop hop highlighting lakeside areas and spring flowers. There are two whole weeks including three weekends to stroll into the 12 participating shops. The Spring Garden Pass (passport) is $5. Included with the pass is a list of the shops with contact information and hours open plus a map of the 12 participating shops.

Receive four 5" floral charm squares from each shop you visit. The free "Secret Garden" pattern will be given out at the first shop you visit. Sign up for gift certificates as you stroll through the shops - seven gift certificates will be awarded by each shop.
