This class is for anyone who is terrified of the "A" word but would love to learn applique. It's a foolproof preparation method that can then be stitched down by hand or machine.

This class is for anyone who has a serger and needs help from the very beginning. Edith will cover basic threading, inserting needles, adjusting tension, and more.

You have pieced your quilt top, basted, and then quilted it. To finish it, all you need is the binding! Learn to make and attach your binding to complete your quilts and other projects, such as placemats.

This class is for anyone that can sew in a straight line and doesn't leave the house without a book. If you hate books getting damaged in transit, protect them in style and be the envy of your next book club meeting!

Here is a playful way to add curves to your quilt. Circles of different sizes are cut, then layered with raw edges. Sew around, then slice them in quarters, rearrange, and enjoy the serendipity of your design!

Do you have a piece of clothing that fits perfectly and you wish to duplicate it? Learn how to take a simple garment and transfer that design to tracing paper, add seam allowances and other details to ensure sewing success. Stephanie will demonstrate with tops and bottoms.

Learn the basics of English Paper Piecing (EPP) and the delight of hand work. We will explore the many possibilities of using hexies: classic, modern, and trendy. You will create a flower hexie to turn into a trivet, expand into a placemat, or a larger piece. EPP is a perfect portable project.

Do sharp points and exact corners elude you? Foundation paper piecing makes it easy to be extremely accurate even when sewing tiny pieces. You need only know how to sew on the straight lines of your foundation paper!

So many quilt tops, so little time! Learn some basics about machine quilting that will make you more successful: proper needles, thread, batting, tools and machine features. Then you will practice some simple designs that are beginner-friendly - first with a walking foot and then free-motion - so you can finish your quilts with confidence.

In this 4 day camp, students will sew a zippered pouch and a pillowcase. If time allows, they may make a third project. This is a great class for any one ages 8-11 that is new to sewing. Supply list given at time of enrollment.

In this 4 day camp, students ages 8-11 will sew a starfish and a drawstring bag shaped like a whale. If time allows, they may make another project. No experience necessary. Machine required, but you may use one of ours.

Kids age 10 and up: Learn a new hobby and life skill and make unique things for yourself and your friends! In this 3 part class you will learn to set up and run a sewing machine, how to iron, and use cutting tools. You?ll use your new skills to make a set of pillowcases and a tote bag.

This class is for those who would like to learn different methods of quilting "filler" designs. It is a free-motion class and students will be able to have hands-on experience on the stand-up longarm machine.

This class takes you beyond Edith's Beginning Serger class, and is designed for those who can thread their serger and generally understand how it works. We will cover rolled hem, differential feed, and zipper insertion, depending on your machine's capabilities.

Students ages 12 and up are welcome to join this 4 day sewing camp to learn to sew a reading pillow - a pillow with a pocket for a favorite book. Class size is kept small and no previous experience is necessary.

Join Kristin for the fun and relaxation of hand stitching. This monthly series is designed to help you learn new embroidery stitches, and to offer dedicated time to practice the gentle art of embroidery. Each class will stand alone and feature one or two new stitches.

Make a t-shirt and learn tips for sewing with knits: cutting out, stitching, neckbands, topstitching and hemming. Stephanie will break down sewing the V-neck step-by-step for more intermediate students. Those new to knits can sew a round neck t-shirt.

Using the Babylock Coronet, Liz will cover the things you need to know to get started quilting on a stand-up longarm machine: loading the quilt sandwich, winding bobbins, correct tension, different threads and adjusting for them, beginning free-motion and setting up for ruler work.
