Beginners are welcome to join Cyndi to make a simple quilt top using just three fabrics. Choose one fabric you really love, and two that coordinate - we will need one yard of each. Next choose a pattern from the wide selection of 3-Yard quilt books that QC has available.

Learn a quick and easy hand quilting stitch that will add a sweet personal touch to your quilts. Cyndi will also teach you a hand embroidery stitch that will make binding your quilts lots of fun.

Your quilt is pieced, quilted and now ready to finish with binding. You’ve come this far, and want it to look good! In this class you will learn to make and attach a lovely mitered corner binding to close up the edges of your quilt. Cyndi will also teach a quick way to attach a label to the back.

Do you have a piece of clothing that fits perfectly and you wish to duplicate it? Learn how to take a simple garment and transfer that design to tracing paper, add seam allowances and other details to ensure sewing success. Stephanie will demonstrate with tops and bottoms.

This class is for anyone participating in the Critter and Clover Block of the Month from Sue Spargo. The first class will focus on set up, and in subsequent classes Kristin will teach the many beautiful hand stitches.

This continuing class focuses on Jen Kingwell: her patterns, designs, techniques and style. Join Linda each month to work on a pattern of your own choosing. Some participants will continue with their work in progress while others may choose their next or select their first.

Learn the basics of English Paper Piecing (EPP) and the delight of hand work. We will explore the many possibilities of using hexies: classic, modern, and trendy. You will create a flower hexie to turn into a trivet, expand into a placemat, or a larger piece. EPP is a perfect portable project.

Do sharp points and exact corners elude you? Foundation paper piecing makes it easy to be extremely accurate even when sewing tiny pieces. You need only know how to sew on the straight lines of your foundation paper!

Learn some basics about machine quilting that will make you more successful: proper needles, thread, batting, tools and machine features. Then you will practice some simple designs that are beginner-friendly - first with a walking foot and then free-motion - so you can finish your quilts with confidence.

All it takes to make this fun area rug is a jelly roll (set of 42, 2 1/2" strips) and strips of cotton batting. It's lots of fun and so customizable. One jelly roll makes a rug approximately 30" x 44". Beginners are welcome.

Also known as a four-patch posie, this quilt starts with one fabric, perhaps a large multicolor floral or a novelty. We will carefully line up repeats in the print, cut through four layers, choose a favorite kaleidoscope for each set, and sew.

Create and stitch beautifully digitized embroidery designs in a hoop. All skill levels, and all makes and models of machines are welcome. In this hands-on series, you will learn about fabric and thread choices, hooping, stabilizers and techniques, while you make a project each session.

Capture a beloved pet or a meaningful landscape in fabric and thread. Begin by sending a photo to Louise a week before class so she can create a custom pattern. She will walk you through layout, fabric choice, placement, and thread painting.

If you have learned the basics of your Pfaff 715, 720 and 725, join Linda for hands-on exploration of the more advanced features: stacking stitches, tapering, single and double ribbon stitches, triple stitches, floating stitches and Stitch Creator.

For those who want to take their piecing up a notch, join Cyndi monthly as she leads you through cutting and piecing harder blocks: diamonds, y-seams, curves, odd shapes, and more.

Sew Kind of Wonderful created unique rulers that allow great success with curved piecing. Choose one of many patterns and the corresponding QCR ruler and Linda will lead you through the steps to measure, cut and sew the curve, then trim to square up your block.

Make a quilted jacket with Linda! This class is open to all levels—from curious beginners to advanced sewists seeking to deepen their skills. We’ll use Melly and Me’s Laura Jacket and learn to interpret directions, options and sizing.

Beginners are welcome! Choose four fat quarters and one accent fabric, and learn to make a sweet baby quilt. Cyndi will teach you to cut and sew accurately while you make the quilt top. We will quilt the 3 layers together by machine, make and attach binding, and you will be well on your way to completing this little project.

What makes a great scrap quilt? Bring your leftover 2.5” strips from other projects, or purchase a jelly roll, and we can add a few things to tie them together. Cyndi’s tips will be a guide and you will start creating something unique and wonderful from your pile of scraps.
