This delicious desert comes to you at the height of plum season. Fresh Italian prune plums make absolutely delicious baked good. You can use them in pies, muffins, tarts--just about anything you might use apples for. Plum Crisp is one of Katie's favorite dishes to bring to a late summer or early fall potluck; it's easy as well as tasty. |
Pre-heat
oven to 375 degrees. Place in an 8"x11" pan: 6 cups of pitted, quartered, fresh Italian prune plums. Blend
gently with a pastry blender or the fingertips: Spread this crumbly mixture over the plums. Bake about 35 minutes. It's even better topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
