Irish Hexies

We’ll start by making a super easy, scrappy Irish Chain look-alike with simple cutting and strip piecing. The large blocks have a light area in the center where you can add some fancy quilting. You can also add some fun applique in those spots! Sjoukje will show you how to make an easy hexie flower, but she will also have templates for flowers and leaves you can fuse. A quilt in holiday colors could feature Christmas trees on the light block centers or how about hearts on a red-and-white quilt? A small quilt in pastels or brights would be lovely for a baby! Pattern and machine required.
