Shibori Stitch Resist Sampler I - Series of 2 sessions

Stitch resist is a traditional method to resist dye or reserve white/light areas when dyeing. Students will learn how to stitch Shibori work on the sewing machine. Techniques based on African Adere cloth work will be demonstrated and each student will stitch samples of motifs for home dyeing. Instructions for hand or washing machine dyeing will be provided using RiT, iDye or Procion MX dyes. Machine required.
