Sharon Stroud
Take Dresden Plates to a new level with this class. Sharon wrote the
book on this technique, literally. She'll share techniques from her book
to help you construct a small wallhanging with one full plate and four
quarter plates. She'll show you the technique for fussy-cutting identical
blades, as well as how to hand piece and hand appliquéthe
plates. This is a process class, with directions provided to complete
the quilt at home.

Expand Your Machine Quilting Skills
Lori Benjamin
Lori will review the basics of machine quilting and continue your
education in this journey to finished quilts. You'll practice with pencil
and paper and muslin sandwiches. Needles, thread, and batting will be
on the agenda. She'll look at quilt tops and discuss what the quilt requires:
traditional, contemporary, or whimsical. She'll help you evaluate the
skill level needed for specific designs. Finally you'll practice, practice,
practice. Machine with feed dogs that drop required.

techniques to speed up the process. Using an appliqué
pattern of your choice, this class will cover layout and materials prep,
thread color selection, stabilizers, and pattern transfer solutions. You'll
try raw edge machine appliqué
using the satin stitch, buttonhole stitch, and two invisible techniques,
allowing you to determine your own favorites. Pattern and machine required.

Star Sewing Box

This sturdy fabric-covered five-sided box will hold everything you need
for hand sewing, everywhere you want to go. The top is a pincushion in
an English paper pieced star design. Take off the top, and your box opens
out into a sewing kit with padded straps on every side and another pincushion
for its base. Great for travelling, or to keep at home by your favorite
chair. Pattern required.

for adding texture and glitz to your work. You'll get to play with adding
foil in a pattern, creating fabric out of painted Wonder-Under, and utilizing
