Quilt Market Pittsburgh Post Production

Posted by administrator on Sunday, May 17th, 2009

It's over!  Three days of intensive shopping for the store.  We spent lots of hours pouring over swatches of fabric as we decided which bolts to carry in the store.  We bought many new products. The two I'm most excited about is the Accuquilt Go fabric cutter and a DVD on free-motion quilting. Maybe now I'll finally learn how to do feathers that are even on both sides.

Pittsburgh was great.  I've never been here except for the airport.  It's very scenic and the convention center is right on the river. We found the best breakfast at a diner called De Luca's.

Here's a couple of more photos.

  • I called Michael Miller Fabrics and they tell me the quilt pattern was in the Fons and Porter magazine, spring and summer issue. I hope that helps!

  • Anyone have an idea what quilt pattern was used for the Michael Miller Whimsy on display? Or a similar...I love the look.
