Quilters Corner is owned by four local women who couldn't stand to live in a city without a quilt shop. The five of us: Cyndi, Katie, Linda, Merrie, and Sherry, opened Quilters Corner in the summer of 1995 and have been expanding ever since. (Sherry retired in 2003.) We met through the local quilt guild and found we shared a love of fabric and bright colors, as well as a quilting heritage dating back to our youth. In addition to our love of quilting, we have in common busy families, with a total of fifteen children among us, ranging in age from five to twenty-two. As a group we came together with varied professional backgrounds and life experiences: math teacher, farmer, paralegal, traffic engineer, arts administrator. None of us had owned any kind of a store before, but we had years of experience shopping in hundreds of quilt shops. We knew what we liked! Four owners means four times the enthusiasm and excitement, as we all love to try new things and expand our quilting repertoire. We seldom miss a national quiltmarket buying expedition and take as many classes as we can. Customers tell us that having four owners select fabric is indeed an asset, giving Quilters Corner a well rounded selection of fabulous colors. We think our preselection means you only see the best of what's available in the quilt world. Customers confirm our choices as they pause at the door to take it all in, before entering into our colorful domain. We hope you'll visit often, not only at our virtual shop, but in person as well. Include us on any trip you make through the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York.
